Sunny Tuesday

Good morning year one
I woke up early today to see the sun shining and a beautiful blue sky.  Hope you all had a good evening and lots of sleep because sleep is good for you.  Please remember to post any comments in order to keep in touch because I miss seeing you all so it's nice to hear from you either either in our emails or on the blog.

This morning I'm going to add a few emails which will give you a more structured day if you prefer it that way and some activities that are more creative.

If one flower has 10 petals.  How many petals will 3 flowers have?   To help you it's best to draw the flowers and the petals and then to count them.

If one flower has 10 petals.  How many petals will 2 flowers have?

If one ladybird has 10 spots.  How many spots will 5 ladybirds have?

Mrs Rowland has ten packs of sweets.  In each pack there are 3 sweets.  In her class there are 30 children.  Does she have enough to give them all a sweet?

You can play the tricky word games on the phonic play and you can practice spelling them in your book or on paper.  See if you can write them in a sentence.

Activity 3

Art work
If possible today, why don't you create some outside artwork from your garden.  You can make a collage using some leaves, small twigs etc.  When I was studying we made large flowers using things we found outside.  You can stick them down on paper if you have glue or just make something on the ground and take a picture.  Have fun!
