I hope you have all had a great weekend. Not quite sure where the sunshine was hiding! Thank you for all your efforts last week with home learning and finding the time to send me your pictures. If you haven't been in touch for a while, please say hello on the blog or send an email. All your friends in school send their love and hope you are all ok.
Here is today's activities.
Monday:
Warm up – Go noodle - Baby Shark warm up
Activity
1
English: Our new story this week is The Gigantic
Turnip- click on the link and skip the advert
Listen to the story
and talk together about the pictures as you do. Talking about the book deepens
children’s enjoyment and understanding of the story
After hearing the
story a few times, children will get to know it well. Encourage them tell it to
you in their own words, using some words and phrases remembered from the story,
and using the pictures to help them.

Story play
Children can use toys for the characters to act out the story. It’s a really good way for them to get to know the story well and to retell it, and helps to build their confidence with books.
